Cham Bridge degraded, people are insecure

Built a long time ago, after many repairs, Cham Bridge is now showing many serious damages. The bridge surface is full of potholes; both ends of the bridge are severely eroded. The road leading to the bridge is also in a similar state with many sunken and peeling spots, forming large puddles, causing traffic safety problems. This situation is made worse by the high traffic volume, especially heavy trucks operating continuously.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hanh, a resident of Group 7, Thong Nhat Ward, indignantly said: "The bridge has been broken for many years. Every time a heavy truck passes, the whole family feels the vibration. Many people riding motorbikes have fallen because of potholes." This area is often covered in dust, directly affecting the daily lives of surrounding households.

It is known that Cham Bridge has been listed as a weak bridge by the authorities since 2024, but has not been repaired yet. Given the current situation of the bridge area becoming a "traffic black spot", local people hope that authorities at all levels will soon have solutions to renovate, upgrade or rebuild the bridge to ensure safety.
