The national parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam had the participation of about 30,000 people (not including the parade force) and armed forces and the masses.

At 6:30 a.m., the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam officially began with a drum performance, before the torch-lighting ceremony, singing of the national anthem and cannon salute.
Route of the parade blocks
The Royal Guards Block: follow the direction of Nguyen Thai Hoc - Trang Thi - Trang Tien, ending at August Revolution Square.
The walking bloc (Army, Police, militia, foreign delegation) withdrew in 3 main directions:
Nguyen Thai Hoc - Kim Ma - Lieu Giai - Van Cao - Quan Ngua Stadium.
Nguyen Thai Hoc - Trang Thi - Trang Tien - August Revolution Square.
Nguyen Thai Hoc - Le Duan - Thong Nhat Park.
Mobile Police and Cavalry: Turn onto Le Hong Phong – Ngoc Ha street, towards Bach Thao Park.
Red Flag Block: Turn from Le Hong Phong - Doi Can - Giang Van Minh - Kim Ma - Lieu Giai, to Quan Ngua.
Mass, Culture - Sports : Go straight through the stage, ending at Hang Day Stadium (model car turns Nguyen Thai Hoc - Trinh Hoai Duc).
Motor vehicle block: Divided into 2 main routes:
North Gate – Nghi Tam – Au Co – Vo Chi Cong – Duong Lang – Tran Duy Hung – Thang Long Boulevard – Le Quang Dao – F1 Racetrack.
Nguyen Thai Hoc – Giang Vo – Duong Lang – Tran Duy Hung – Thang Long Boulevard – Le Quang Dao – F1 Racetrack.
The Hanoi People's Committee emphasized that the plan has been carefully calculated to ensure solemnity and absolute safety, while creating favorable conditions for the capital's people and tourists to watch and cheer on the country's important event.

Torch-carrying ceremony and lighting of the traditional revolutionary pyre
The torch relay consisted of 80 athletes, symbolizing the 80th anniversary of independence, led by Captain Bui Phuoc Tung, a boxer.
Escorting the sacred torch were Lieutenant Tran Hung Nguyen, Swimmer, and two track and field athletes: Captain Nguyen Linh Na and Lieutenant Bui Thi Nguyen.
The flame was handed over to Lieutenant General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Nguyen Duc Soat, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, who had an exceptionally outstanding achievement, shooting down 6 enemy planes, becoming one of the heroic pilots of the Vietnam People's Army to light the flame.
The fire was lit, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
