On September 1, the movie earned over 48 billion VND with over 466,000 tickets sold in over 5,500 screenings.

Previously, "Red Rain" earned more than 100 billion VND after only 3 days of official release and reached the revenue milestone of 200 billion VND after less than 1 week of release. On August 31, the film reached the revenue milestone of 300 billion VND.

"Red Rain" is a major film produced by the People's Army Cinema, with a script by writer Chu Lai. The film is inspired and fictionalized by the event of 81 days and nights of steadfast fighting by our army and people to defend Quang Tri Citadel in 1972 - a battle that has become a symbol of the aspiration for independence, freedom and national unification. That feat was not only recorded in history books but was also one of the important factors leading to the success of the Paris Conference and the great victory of Spring 1975.

The film crew built a 50-hectare set on the banks of the Thach Han River to simulate a battlefield. This set was partially washed away by a storm, forcing the crew to rebuild it from scratch. The actors also faced many challenges: Phuong Nam (Ta) lost 15 kg, Dinh Khang (Tu) lost 11 kg and learned to swim quickly to fit the role.

In the film, images of war are portrayed directly, from fierce raids to tearful river crossings. At the same time, the work still maintains a humanistic spirit, depicting soldiers not only as soldiers but also as sons and fathers with longing for their families.

"Red Rain" recounts the fierce days of war that could not extinguish the desire for peace, national reunification, love for homeland, love for comrades and family deeply in the hearts of young soldiers, and will surely resonate forever with today's and future generations. The film features many young actors such as Do Nhat Hoang, Nguyen Phuong Nam, Nguyen Dinh Khang, Ha Anh, Steven Nguyen, Le Hoang Long... along with experienced faces such as People's Artist Tran Luc, Dinh Thuy Ha, Than Thuy Ha, Hua Vi Van, Lam Vissay...
