On January 21, the Criminal Police Department (PC02 - Ho Chi Minh City Police) announced that it had issued an emergency arrest warrant for 4 suspects: Nguyen That Cam (41 years old, residing in District 5), Nguyen That Thuyet (Cam's brother, residing in Tra Vinh province), Nguyen Thanh Phong (residing in District 8), Duong Thi Thuy Hang (residing in Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City) for prostitution brokerage, related to a restaurant in District 5 with 40 prostitutes.
Previously, on January 18, PC02 Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinated with District 5 Police to inspect karaoke restaurant 98 (address 98 Tran Binh Trong, Ward 1, District 5).
The suspects were arrested urgently.
Initially, the police determined that the restaurant owners, including Nguyen That Cam, Nguyen That Thuyet, and Nguyen Thanh Phong, organized for the restaurant's female waitresses to sell sex to customers to increase revenue.
At the time of the inspection on the night of January 18, the police discovered that manager Duong Thi Thuy Hang was helping 4 female attendants to sell sex at 2 hotels Bonita Grand and Bonita Grand THD in District 5 with the price of 5 million VND/time.
According to PC02 of Ho Chi Minh City Police, Cam, Thuyet and Phong agreed to let Thuyet have their names on the business license and operate on their behalf, taking full responsibility when Cam and Phong were not present at the restaurant.
At the restaurant there are always about 40 female employees, dressed provocatively, wearing see-through shirts and ready to go "all in" with customers.
PC02 Ho Chi Minh City Police continue to investigate the above prostitution brokerage ring.
