Da Nang Port: 35 initiatives recognized in 6 months, generating profits of over 7 billion VND

DNVN - On August 1, Da Nang Port organized a ceremony to reward collectives and solution groups that have successfully researched and applied initiatives and solutions to production and business activities, bringing benefits to the unit of over 7 billion VND in the first 6 months of 2024.

The most typical solution is "eCPS - Automatic crane tracking system" by the group of authors Duong Duc Xuan, Phan Bao Loc, Luu Van Dung and Le Ha Nam .

This is an artificial intelligence software solution that aims to replace human manual work and replace known CPS systems. The goal of eCps is to create a vehicle tracking system that is accurate, high-speed but leaner than traditional vehicle tracking systems thanks to the use of artificial intelligence.

Da Nang Port rewards collectives and solution groups with initiatives that benefit businesses in the first 6 months of 2024.

eCps uses an industrial camera connected to a computer configured to be able to recognize objects using artificial intelligence, infer cargo handling plans, vote on representative points of objects, calculate coordinates, display coordinates, track objects, process images, monitor operations, etc. As of June 2024, when eCps has been applied to 4 QC cranes (08 lanes), eCps has made a profit of 6.6 billion VND.

At the same time, the group of authors Phan Nam Hoang and Nguyen Huu Anh with the solution of processing Krupp rubber transmission clutches to replace new purchases and proactively repair, reduce order waiting time, has benefited Da Nang Port 300 million VND.

The solution to replace rubber conveyor belts with chip conveyor belts contributes to reducing costs and increasing production and business efficiency by the group of authors Ho Thai Thanh and Phan Nam Hoang, also contributing to ensuring stable operation of equipment, not affecting the general production and business process and benefiting the Port nearly 130 million VND...

Mr. Duong Duc Xuan - Deputy General Director, Chairman of the Science and Technology Council of Da Nang Port said that the goal of Da Nang Port is to become a modern port in information technology, pioneering in researching and applying new technologies of the world in port exploitation and management, becoming the smartest port in the Vietnamese seaport system.

In the first 6 months of 2024 alone, the unit recognized 35 initiatives, rationalization, and application of scientific and technological advances to overcome difficulties in production with a profit value of over 7 billion VND.
