That is professional military Major Phung Van Phuong, born in 1987, Captain of the Film Team, Propaganda Department, Political Department, Provincial Military Command. With a high sense of responsibility, strict sense of organization and discipline, he is a typical example in the propaganda - cultural staff of the provincial armed forces, always excellently completing assigned tasks, and has been commended many times by his superiors.

As an active collaborator of news agencies and newspapers, comrade Phuong always did a good job of coordinating, informing and propagating local defense and military tasks, and had many excellent press works.

Born and raised in Dao Tu commune (Tam Duong), comrade Phung Van Phuong loved the green of the soldier's uniform since childhood. In 2006, when he was just 19 years old, he joined the army, was assigned to Regiment 98, Division 316, Military Region 2 and studied at the Military University of Culture and Arts with a major in Film Technician. In 2010, comrade Phuong graduated and was assigned to work at the Political Department, Provincial Military Command.

Since taking on the task, he has always built for himself a scientific , dedicated, responsible working style, and excellently completed the assigned work. In 2011, Comrade Phung Van Phuong was honored to stand in the ranks of the Party.

In 2013, he was entrusted by his superiors with the task of Captain of the Film Team, Propaganda Department, Political Department, Provincial Military Command, with the task of participating in film screenings to serve officers and soldiers in the provincial armed forces and some military units stationed in the area.

During his work, aware of the humanistic significance and great historical value of the work of searching, collecting and identifying martyrs' remains, comrade Phuong always proactively researched, explored, selected topics, edited scripts, built and completed propaganda products for the search and collection work.

At the same time, proactively develop plans, direct the editing and screening of documentaries and reports to promote the content of the work of "Repaying gratitude", contributing to educating traditions, raising awareness and responsibility of cadres, soldiers and people for this important political task.

Regularly coordinate with the Policy Board, localities and Veterans Association to record and document the process of searching, gathering, receiving, paying respects and burying martyrs' remains in localities such as Tam Dao, Song Lo, Lap Thach, including many valuable documentary images serving archiving, propaganda and traditional education.

During the 2021-2025 period, he advised and organized the production and publication of more than 20 reports, news, and articles on the search, collection, and identification of martyrs' remains with missing information.

The products all have clear political content, reasonable layout, genuine emotions, and profound propaganda value, and are highly appreciated by the Provincial Military Command. Actively deploying mobile film screenings at more than 100 communes, wards, and towns, helping people better understand the policy and profound meaning of the task of searching for and identifying the remains of martyrs with missing information. From there, raising awareness of coordination and providing information to serve the search and collection work.

Not only completing his professional tasks well, Comrade Phuong also demonstrated his journalistic ability through his writing, filming, photography, and editing skills. As a "non-professional journalist", Comrade Phung Van Phuong closely followed military and defense tasks, holidays, anniversaries, political events, training, drills, prevention, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, floods and storms, search and rescue; military policy activities, military rear areas to closely and truthfully reflect the activities of the provincial armed forces, meeting the needs and tastes of officers, soldiers of the provincial armed forces and the people.

For Phuong, journalistic works are his “brainchild”, so he constantly learns and innovates in filming, editing, sound and image processing techniques, improving the quality of products promoting the image of military soldiers with revolutionary qualities and patriotism in carrying out key political tasks. His works all meet the criteria of “fast, correct, accurate, and good”, contributing to encouraging and motivating officers and soldiers to carry out their tasks, stabilizing their working mindset, and have been selected many times to submit to competitions at the Military Region and Ministry of National Defense levels and achieved good results.

With his constant efforts, Comrade Phung Van Phuong has achieved many achievements. Of which, he was twice commended by the Political Commissar of Military Region 2 for his outstanding achievements in the task of propagating military and defense work. In 2024, for the first time participating in the All-Army Television Festival, he won a Silver Medal and a Certificate of Merit from the Organizing Committee...
