TPO – Some central roads in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City will ban vehicles and limit traffic on weekends.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has just announced the adjustment of traffic organization on some routes to serve the activities to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the People's Public Security implementing President Ho Chi Minh 's Testament; the 79th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day, the 19th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection and the awarding of the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" to the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security.

Accordingly, in order to ensure traffic flow and limit traffic into areas where the above activities are held, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport announces:

From 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on August 15, and from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on August 16 and 17, all vehicles are prohibited from traveling on Nguyen Hue Street (from Le Loi Street to Ton Duc Thang Street).

Alternative route: Le Thanh Ton street → Dong Khoi street → Ton Duc Thang street; Ton Duc Thang street → Ham Nghi street → Pasteur street → Le Thanh Ton street.

From 6am to 9am on August 17, all vehicles are prohibited from traveling on Nguyen Hue Street (from Le Thanh Ton Street to Le Loi Street).

Alternative route: Le Thanh Ton street → Nam Ky Khoi Nghia street → Le Loi street → Nguyen Hue street; Nguyen Hue street → Le Loi street → Pasteur street → Le Thanh Ton street.

From 6am to 11am on August 18, all vehicles are prohibited from traveling on the road reserved for cars on Le Loi Street (from Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street to Ham Nghi Street).

Alternative route: mixed traffic lane on Le Loi Street.

From 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on August 17, traffic will be restricted on Vo Thi Sau Street (from Truong Dinh Street to Nguyen Thong Street) and Ba Huyen Thanh Quan Street (from Ly Chinh Thang Street to Dien Bien Phu Street).

“Drivers must comply with the commands of traffic controllers and road signs. For vehicles of organizations and individuals in the affected area who need to travel during the ban, please contact the local authorities directly for support,” informed the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport.
