Vehicles banned on some central streets of Ho Chi Minh City on weekends

TPO - Some roads around the Ho Chi Minh City Theater (District 1) will be closed to all vehicles from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on April 6 and April 13.

On April 5, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport announced traffic adjustments in the central area of District 1 to serve the organization of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival - 2024.

Accordingly, in order to ensure traffic order and safety for the above event, the Department of Transport announced that from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on April 6 and April 13, all types of vehicles are prohibited from traveling on the following roads:

Dong Khoi Street: from Le Thanh Ton Street to Dong Du Street; Lam Son Square Street (both sides of the City Theater): from Hai Ba Trung Street to Dong Khoi Street; Le Loi Street: from Nguyen Hue Street to Dong Khoi Street.

In addition, from April 7 to April 12, all vehicles will be restricted from traveling on Le Loi Street (from Nguyen Hue Street to Dong Khoi Street).

Alternative route:

- Dong Khoi Street → Ly Tu Trong Street → Hai Ba Trung Street → Dong Du Street → Dong Khoi Street.

- Hai Ba Trung Street → Le Thanh Ton Street → Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street → Le Loi Street.

- Le Loi Street → Pasteur Street → Ly Tu Trong Street → Hai Ba Trung Street.

“Drivers must comply with the commands of traffic controllers and the road signal system. For vehicles of individuals and organizations in the affected area that need to circulate during the restricted time, please directly contact the Department of Culture and Sports - phone number 02838224053 for support and traffic facilitation” - Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport informed.
