Communes focus on removing difficulties after merger

On the morning of July 23, working delegations of the Provincial Party Standing Committee continued to inspect, survey, and grasp the situation of localities after the merger.

Working delegation No. 8 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee led by Comrade Tran Quang Minh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee, worked with Dong Tho commune. Working delegation No. 19 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee led by Comrade Nguyen Hong Trang, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Party agencies, had a working session with Khuon Lung commune.

Dong Tho commune after merging with Dong Quy and Quyet Thang communes has an area of 74.86 ^km2 with more than 4,000 households and over 18,000 people. Khuon Lung commune was newly merged from Na Chi and Khuon Lung communes, the commune has 19 villages with 1,726 households; 40 grassroots Party organizations with more than 1,000 party members.

After the merger, the communes have proactively implemented solutions to effectively organize the two-level local government model. The staff is arranged and assigned to suitable positions to promote their capacity and professional qualifications; administrative procedure settlement is reformed to best serve the needs of people and businesses; the economic development situation in the area is stable and growing.

However, the two communes still have some difficulties such as: facilities and technical infrastructure systems are not yet synchronized; lack of professional staff in some departments and offices; some administrative procedures have been decentralized but related records and data are not available and not synchronized, affecting the progress of work settlement... The communes proposed that the province invest in some inter-village and inter-commune roads in the area.

Concluding the working sessions, the heads of the working delegations highly appreciated the proactiveness and creativity in quickly approaching the work of operating the two-level government of the two communes. At the same time, they requested the communes to prepare well for the organization of the Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Pay attention to taking care of the material and spiritual life of the people; focus on removing immediate difficulties, creating a premise for sustainable development in the coming period.

The heads of the working delegation requested the communes to continue to seriously, synchronously, effectively and promptly implement the directions of the Central Government and the province on building a two-level local government; organize the apparatus, ensure unified, smooth, effective and efficient operations.

At the same time, change the mindset in leadership, direction, and implementation of tasks, especially change the working state and mindset from administrative to serving the people, close to the people; carefully review the goals and targets for 2025 after the merger to have solutions to complete according to plan.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), the working delegations presented gifts to policy families and meritorious people in the communes.
