(Dan Tri) - In the atmosphere of welcoming the new school year taking place across the country, many universities and colleges also held their opening ceremonies for the first time on the morning of September 5.

This is also an occasion for the whole country to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education .

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Ngo Quoc Dat, Principal of the school, emphasized that 2025 marks a special milestone with many important political events of the whole country.

“This is not only an opportunity to review glorious traditions, but also for each person to more clearly define their responsibility in developing education and especially training high-quality medical human resources, a key resource for sustainable development of the country,” the principal shared.

Mr. Dat said that regarding the academic results of the 2024-2025 school year, the school currently has 11,217 students studying, of which the percentage of excellent students is 9.4%, good 20.7%, good 41.6%, average 18.8% and weak 9.6%.

In 2025, the school will enroll 2,576 students, with 17,975 candidates registering for admission. The top student in the school is Tran Duc Tai, who was admitted to the General Medicine program with a perfect score of 30 points.

Sending a message to teachers and students of the school, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tri Thuc emphasized: "If you want to become a doctor, you have to study for life. I hope you will study and do scientific research to contribute to making the country's medicine famous."

He said, if you want to go far, you have to go together, so students should unite, have a team spirit, share difficulties in the learning process, this is the foundation for us to develop together sustainably.

The Deputy Minister advised teachers that, in addition to imparting specialized knowledge, they also need to impart and train to help shape personality and cultivate medical ethics for students right from the moment they enter school.

At the University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University, the opening ceremony marked many impressive numbers in this year's enrollment season: Nearly 48% of admitted candidates had a competency assessment test score of 900 points or higher, nearly 21% achieved both 27 points in the high school graduation exam and 900 points in the competency assessment test, and more than 3,300 students had international standard English certificates.

According to the school, Ho Chi Minh City continues to be the locality with the highest rate of admitted students with more than 3,500 students, of which Mac Dinh Chi High School leads. Notably, the proportion of female students accounts for about 1/5 of the total number of new students at the school.

The opening ceremony atmosphere at the Vietnam Dance Academy brought a unique atmosphere with performances from the students themselves.

Even though it was only on screen, the atmosphere was still filled with solemnity and excitement. After the national ceremony, the Vietnam Dance Academy continued the program with homegrown performances full of artistic quality.

The students, from talented ballet dancers to folk dance enthusiasts, brought graceful and delicate performances, as an inspiring and passionate welcome to the new school year. The dance moves not only showed talent but also the pride and desire to contribute to the art of dance of the young generation.
