Launching the "Make in Viet Nam Digital Technology Product" Award 2025: Promoting mastery of core and strategic technologies

At the regular press conference in August 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with VCCI launched the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" Award in 2025. The new point this year is that for the first time the Award will honor strategic digital technology products in the category of platform technology and core technology, contributing to Vietnam's breakthrough in digital transformation and digital economic development.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong and Mr. Hoang Quang Phong, Vice President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, performed the launching ceremony of the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" Award 2025.

According to Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich, Director of the Department of Information Technology Industry, Ministry of Science and Technology, the Standing Agency of the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" Award, this is a prestigious and official award in the field of digital technology industry of the Ministry of Information and Communications (now the Ministry of Science and Technology) organized starting from 2020, to award Vietnamese organizations and enterprises with excellent digital technology products (CNS) researched, designed, created, and manufactured in Vietnam to solve Vietnamese problems and go international. This is an activity to concretize Directive No. 01/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister dated January 14, 2020 on promoting the development of Vietnamese CNS enterprises.

2025 is the 6th year of the award and the first year organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology , honoring outstanding digital technology products, bringing pride to Vietnamese intelligence, promoting comprehensive, all-people digital transformation to accelerate and break through the development of the digital economy, digitize economic sectors, create a leap in productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy, and at the same time aim to master core technologies, platform technologies, and strategic technologies.

The Award also continues to honor Vietnamese digital technology products that conquer the world, contribute to the development of humanity and bring prosperity to Vietnam. At the same time, for the first time, the Award will honor outstanding strategic digital technology products in the List of strategic technologies and strategic technology products in Decision No. 1131/QD-TTg dated June 12, 2025 of the Prime Minister.

Time for receiving registration and submitting documents to participate in the Award: From September 4, 2025 to October 22, 2025. During the period from September 4, 2025 to October 4, 2025, enterprises can make preliminary registration and receive guidance from the Award Standing Agency to prepare documents according to the Regulations.

The 2025 Award has 08 Categories, of which 07 Categories will continue to be maintained as the 2024 Award, including:

Outstanding CNS products in the fields of industry and construction (information technology industry; mining industry; energy, processing, manufacturing industry; consumer goods manufacturing industry; construction); outstanding CNS products in the fields of agriculture, resources and environment (agriculture, forestry, fisheries, resources and environment); outstanding CNS products in the fields of transportation, post and logistics; outstanding CNS products in the fields of education, health, culture, society; outstanding CNS products in the fields of finance, banking, trade, services (finance, banking, trade, insurance, tourism); outstanding CNS products for foreign markets; potential CNS products.

At the same time, replace 01 Category: The new CNS Product Category of the 2024 Award is replaced by the Outstanding Strategic CNS Product Category (applied products: Artificial Intelligence, digital copy, virtual reality/augmented reality; cloud computing technology, quantum, big data; Blockchain technology; next-generation mobile network technology (5G/6G); robotics and automation technology; semiconductor chip technology).

Award Participants

For Potential CNS Products Category: Only applicable to micro, small enterprises or innovative startups established under Vietnamese law (if it is a foreign-invested enterprise, Vietnamese people must own at least 51% of total shares).

For the category of Excellent CNS Products for foreign markets: In addition to domestic enterprises with Vietnamese people holding controlling shares, the category also includes enterprises established abroad but with Vietnamese people owning at least 51% of the total shares.

For the remaining categories, enterprises are established under Vietnamese law (if they are foreign-invested enterprises, Vietnamese people must own at least 51% of the total shares) and units and career organizations with digital technology products researched, designed, created, manufactured in Vietnam and put into practical application.

Prize Structure:

Each Award Category will have the following awards: Gold, Silver, Bronze and Top 10.

CNS products, solutions and services that win Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will receive Cups and Award Certificates; products that reach the Top 10 will receive Award Certificates.

How to participate in the Award:

Enterprises and organizations participating in the contest register directly at the Award Electronic Information Portal: giaithuong.makeinvietnam.mst.gov.vn.

Ministries, branches, localities and Associations in the field of information technology and digital technology introduce and nominate to the Ministry of Science and Technology, and at the same time notify nominated enterprises and organizations to register and submit documents at the Award Electronic Information Portal: giaithuong.makeinvietnam.mst.gov.vn.

Order of participation in the Award:

Enterprises and organizations participating in the Award can choose one of the following two methods:

Method 1:

Preliminary registration for the Award is from September 4, 2025 to October 4, 2025.

Complete and submit application from October 5, 2025 to October 22, 2025.

The standing agency supports and guides businesses and organizations participating in the Award to complete their documents.

Method 2:

Register and submit your application from September 4, 2025 to October 22, 2025.

Enterprises and organizations submit their applications online at the Award Electronic Information Portal: giaithuong.makeinvietnam.mst.gov.vn.

The award ceremony is expected to be held in December 2025 within the framework of the National Forum on Developing Vietnamese Digital Technology Enterprises. The Organizing Committee plans to invite Party, State and Government leaders to present awards to high-achieving enterprises. The award ceremony will be broadcast and reported on central and local radio stations, newspapers and other media platforms./.
