The contest is an opportunity for every Vietnamese citizen to continue writing the glorious story of the nation in the language of the digital age. Through the use of digital media platforms and artificial intelligence (AI) applications, the contest will contribute to strongly spreading Vietnamese cultural and spiritual values to the domestic and international communities.
Sharing at the event, Mr. Nguyen Huu Ngoc - Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism - wished that the leaders, representatives of departments, bureaus, functional units and all delegates present would become a "KOL - influential person, leading public opinion", to spread this contest to cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the Ministry as well as nationwide, through the digital platforms of the unit and personal social networking sites.
"The contest is expected to become a powerful media highlight, arousing interest and learning about national culture on digital platforms. By applying artificial intelligence, the Organizing Committee hopes to bring a modern, fair and objective cultural playground.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes that Identity will become a meaningful communication highlight, arousing national pride and love for Vietnamese culture, while creating an environment for connecting the community on modern, fair and creative digital platforms," Mr. Nguyen Huu Ngoc emphasized.
Accordingly, the contest is designed with two main parts: Vodcast Identity Dialogue is a creative contest, encouraging contestants to produce short videos (vodcasts) to share experiences, stories, and unique perspectives on topics related to Vietnamese cultural identity.
Along with that is the Identity Understanding test focusing on knowledge about Vietnamese history, culture, art, tourism and people. The questions will cover the outstanding achievements of the Cultural sector over the past 80 years, helping participants consolidate and expand their understanding.
Mr. Chu Tien Dat - Representative of the unit assigned to preside over and coordinate the organization of the event - said that the contest is not simply a playground to find outstanding works, but will become a movement, an inspirational call to all young people in Vietnam.
The contest will be a place where you can freely use digital media platforms and apply AI to create unique works.
"We are not looking for traditional footage, but expect fresh perspectives, inspiring stories, youthful and engaging expressions of the traditions of the Culture, Sports and Tourism industry," said Mr. Dat.
Recently, singer Hoa Minzy has been highly appreciated for spreading Vietnamese culture on the digital environment through the MV "Bac Bling" (Photo: Character provided).
The contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners living, studying and working in Vietnam, without age, gender or occupation restrictions.
Time to receive works from August 15 to August 25. The Organizing Committee will vote for Vodcast and knowledge contest from August 28 to September 6.
