The decision takes effect from September 16, 2024.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu was born in 1976 in Hanoi. He holds a BA in International Relations from the Institute of International Relations (now the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam); a MA in Political Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), UK; and a PhD in Economics from the Academy of Social Sciences, Vietnam.

He has held many positions in the fields of bilateral diplomacy, multilateral diplomacy, foreign politics and international economic integration.

On September 16, 2019, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 1187/QD-TTg appointing Mr. Nguyen Minh Vu to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
