According to new guidelines from the Department of Land Management, provincial People's Committees will follow a 7-step process when adjusting land price lists to ensure transparency, objectivity and closeness to reality.
In the first step, the land management agency will select a land valuation organization, which can be a public agency or a qualified private organization. Next, the land valuation will be carried out through surveys, collecting information on land prices in each area, determining land types and locations in communes and wards. After having the results, the agency will draft an adjusted land price list and develop a Submission to collect opinions from relevant parties.
This draft will be submitted to the Appraisal Council. The Land Management Agency will finalize the draft based on the appraisal opinions and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for decision. The current land price list will continue to apply until December 31, 2025 and the Provincial People's Committee can adjust it if necessary.
