New cultural symbol of An Giang

The total floor area of the project is 10,385m2; fully equipped with power supply, water supply, fire prevention, fire fighting, lightning protection systems. In addition, the technical infrastructure works outside the theater include: Security house, fence, gate, outdoor stage, grandstand, outdoor lobby, landscape lake and trees...

This is not only a place to organize large-scale political , artistic and cultural events, but also an exhibition center, organizing important local political activities and events. In particular, the theater is assigned the responsibility of preserving, researching, exploiting and promoting traditional art forms of the Vietnamese people in general and An Giang province in particular. Thereby, meeting the needs of enjoying cultural and spiritual life of the people, encouraging the artistic creativity of generations of artists and mass art movements.

After the inauguration ceremony, the theater began to open to serve the people. The campus was bustling with the laughter of people coming to visit and check-in. As a lover of culture and art, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Hoang, a resident of Long Xuyen ward, excitedly said: "The theater is so magnificent. I hope the theater will regularly "light up" to organize many cultural, artistic and artistic programs to serve the local people."

Mr. Nguyen Khanh Hiep - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports said that with the assigned responsibility, the unit is committed to receiving, managing and effectively exploiting the Provincial Theater; coordinating with art units inside and outside the province to regularly organize diverse performance programs, from traditional to modern, from Southern folk art, reformed opera, amateur music to music and dance programs, symphonic music, contemporary art. In particular, coordinating with the tourism industry to organize art performance programs associated with tours and tourist routes, especially during the festival season of Ba Chua Xu Mountain Sam. “The cultural sector will promote the theater as an open space to serve the community; a place to exchange, learn, train, and nurture young talents; a cultural destination for students, workers, and farmers, so that culture and art truly enter life. At the same time, mobilize the cooperation of society and businesses in cultural and artistic activities, ensuring that the theater always operates and always has quality programs to serve the public,” Mr. Nguyen Khanh Hiep emphasized.

Comrade Ho Van Mung - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture and Sports to urgently develop an exploitation plan to promote the effectiveness of the theater. In addition to provincial events, it is possible to organize cultural and artistic programs and events to serve the people's need to enjoy cultural life.
