In his opening speech, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Do Huu Huy emphasized: This is an important occasion to look back on outstanding achievements, spread the spirit of patriotic emulation and encourage the aspiration to contribute to building the homeland. In recent times, the province has achieved many outstanding results in socio-economics, national defense and security thanks to the effective leadership and solidarity and efforts of the entire political system and the people. Movements such as "Studying and following Uncle Ho", "Skillful mass mobilization", "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" have promoted endogenous strength, bringing about positive changes, especially in remote areas. The peak period of "50 days to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" is a clear demonstration of the spirit of mutual love and the responsible participation of the whole society. This conference is even more meaningful in the context of the province preparing to merge with Lam Dong and Dak Nong. This is a moment to express gratitude and acknowledge the contributions to Binh Thuan land before the historical turning point. Comrade Do Huu Huy emphasized that with high political determination and consensus of the people, the merger process will take place smoothly, opening up new opportunities for sustainable development of the Southern Central Highlands - South Central Coast region.
The conference watched reports summarizing the results of 10 years of implementing Directive 05-CT/TW and 5 years of implementing Conclusion 01-KL/TW on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. These results are not only reflected in impressive numbers but also demonstrated through specific groups and individuals, the "beautiful flowers in Uncle Ho's garden" who were commended and received noble awards: Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, Certificates of Merit from the Central Propaganda Department, Letters of Merit from the Provincial Party Secretary, Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman.
In a solemn atmosphere, representatives of many agencies, units and organizations from the Military Command of Ham Thuan Bac District, the Procuracy of Ham Thuan Nam District, to individuals such as teachers, Team Leaders, commune Youth Union officials, women's union members, border guards, etc. stepped up to the podium. Each face is a story, each achievement is the crystallization of tireless efforts.
At the same time, the conference devoted a large amount of time to honoring typical models in the emulation movement "Skillful Mass Mobilization" for the period 2021-2025. These effective initiatives and methods have significantly contributed to maintaining political stability, socio-economic development, building great national unity and consolidating the political system from the grassroots level. Many collectives and individuals were awarded Letters of Merit from the Provincial Party Secretary and Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman - as vivid proof of the strength of the people's hearts and social consensus.
Another highlight is the content of commending typical organizations and individuals in implementing the Project "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province" in the period of 2024-2025. In just 50 days of peak implementation (March 30 - May 19, 2025), the whole province has had thousands of houses started, repaired and completed thanks to the responsible cooperation of the entire political system, the active support of businesses, philanthropists, officers, soldiers of the armed forces and the people. These acts of kindness are recognized and spread strongly, as Binh Thuan's commitment: "No one is left behind".
In addition, in the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" in the period of 2021-2025, the province has achieved many outstanding achievements. Effective initiatives and models from the grassroots have contributed to bringing many localities to the new rural and advanced rural finish line. At the conference, the Provincial People's Committee commended collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement - once again affirming the central role of people and grassroots in the comprehensive development process of the locality.
At the end of the program, the conference honored collectives and individuals who have made many positive contributions to the development of Binh Thuan province during the entire period of 2020-2025. They are businesses that strive to overcome difficulties to create jobs and income; are cadres who silently contribute to Party building and protecting the ideological foundation; are simple people who are willing to donate land, contribute labor and effort with the locality. Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh emphasized: These are not only achievements, but also valuable lessons for the new development stage, when Binh Thuan, together with Lam Dong and Dak Nong, enter the roadmap to arrange provincial-level administrative units, towards forming a new Lam Dong province.
The Provincial Party Secretary assessed that the new province will be large in scale, with a population of nearly 4 million people, and have great potential for outstanding development in areas such as high-tech agriculture, eco-tourism, smart cities and digital transformation.
