It is known that according to the Resolution of the National Assembly on the arrangement of provincial administrative units, Lam Dong province was established on the basis of arranging the entire area and population of the three provinces of Dak Nong, Binh Thuan, and Lam Dong. After the merger, the new Lam Dong province has an area of 24,233.07 km2, a population of 3,872,999 people, bordering the provinces of Dak Lak, Dong Nai, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Cambodia and the East Sea. The political and administrative center of the new Lam Dong province is located in Da Lat city of the former Lam Dong province.
At the ceremony, the representative of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee also announced the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units and starting operation from July 1, 2025. Accordingly, Binh Thuan ward is one of 124 communes - wards, special zones of the new Lam Dong province, with a natural area of 45.16 km2 and a population of more than 47,800 people, the headquarters of the administrative unit is located in the former Phong Nam commune.
Attending the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Thao (residing on Pham Thi Ngu Street - Binh Thuan Ward) was very excited when the locality organized a very solemn announcement ceremony, and at the same time hoped that the new administrative apparatus would meet the aspirations and serve the people better and better.
