Turn potential into development momentum

Despite many difficulties, Muong Hoa commune, located in the core area of ​​Hoa Binh Lake National Tourist Area, is facing a great opportunity to transform strongly. Based on the important results of the past term, the Party Committee and the People here are continuing to write the development story with new faith and aspiration, determined to make Muong Hoa a bright spot in the province's tourism and service economy.

Ngoi Hoa Eco -tourism Area (Priobay) comes into operation, bringing a new look to Muong Hoa commune.

Muong Hoa commune was established on the basis of merging two particularly difficult communes, Phu Vinh and Suoi Hoa. With a low starting point, people's lives mainly depend on agriculture, and infrastructure is still lacking, this is a big challenge. However, with the solidarity and determination of the entire political system and the consensus of the people, Muong Hoa has achieved many outstanding results. The rate of poor households has decreased to 12.18%, near-poor households to 19.9%, both exceeding the targets set by the resolution. 100% of children are vaccinated, 98.5% of people participate in health insurance, 100% of households have access to clean water, clear evidence of the improvement in the quality of life.

Socio -economic infrastructure has made great progress. More than 90 km of inter-commune, inter-hamlet, and intra-field roads have been hardened; canal systems, power grids, and schools have been upgraded and newly built. In particular, the Ngoi Hoa-National Highway 6 project with a total capital of over 300 billion VND is being implemented, promising to break the monopoly and open up new development space for the whole region.

In production, the Commune Party Committee focused on directing the transformation of agricultural thinking and encouraging the application of science and technology. The cage fish farming model on the Da River reservoir developed with 609 cages, yielding over 784 tons/year, becoming an effective economic direction.

However, the real breakthrough comes from exploiting tourism potential. Located in the core area of ​​Hoa Binh Lake National Tourist Area, Muong Hoa has attracted 5 eco-tourism and resort projects with a total registered investment capital of VND 2,710 billion, of which Ngoi Hoa Eco-tourism Area (Priobay) of Hoang Son Construction and Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company with over VND 650 billion has come into operation, bringing a new look to the locality. Relic sites such as Thac Bo Cave, Hoa Tien Cave, and traditional festivals have created a diverse tourism ecosystem, attracting tens of thousands of visitors, expanding job opportunities for local workers.

Discussing the development orientation, comrade Quach Cao Son, Secretary of the Party Committee of Muong Hoa commune affirmed: The Party Committee of the commune continues to build a clean and strong political system; promote the strength of great national unity and national cultural identity; promote the application of science and technology, digital transformation; effectively exploit potentials and advantages, mobilize resources for socio-economic development associated with new rural construction.

The commune focuses on improving the efficiency of agricultural and forestry production, paying attention to developing the fishery economy in conjunction with protecting the ecological environment. The work of building new rural areas is prioritized, striving to complete more criteria each year, gradually improving the quality of material and spiritual life for the people.

Regarding trade and services, the commune continues to promote diverse business types, support the consumption of agricultural products, and encourage the development of traditional products. In particular, tourism is still the spearhead. Muong Hoa aims to develop community tourism associated with preserving Muong cultural heritage, building a green and friendly tourism brand. Tourism promotion and investment attraction will be implemented synchronously, focusing on infrastructure and high-quality services.

The commune focuses on improving the quality of education, health care, social security; paying attention to vocational training, job creation, sustainable poverty reduction; maintaining political security, social order and safety. Party building, developing new party members, and improving the quality of party cell activities continue to be given importance. From a difficult land, Muong Hoa is gradually turning potential into driving force, rising to affirm its position on the tourism-service map in the province.
