Social Insurance of Region XXV pays pensions via ATM to nearly 38,000 people

(LĐ online) - On June 9, Social Insurance of Region XXV (Lam Dong - Binh Thuan - Dak Nong) said: Up to now, 37,968 pensioners have received their salary through bank accounts (ATM), with a total payment amount of up to 272 billion VND, accounting for 100% of the total number of pensioners receiving their salary through ATM in these 3 provinces.

At the same time, the Social Insurance of Region XXV continues to organize cash payments to nearly 16,574 pensioners in remote areas where access to banking services is limited. As of June 9, 2025, the Social Insurance of Region XXV has paid more than VND 23.8 billion to 12,380 people, reaching a rate of 74.7%. Cash payments were implemented simultaneously from June 5 to June 11 at all payment points of residential groups and continued at fixed payment points of post offices from June 11 to June 25, ensuring the right time, right person, full regime, safety and convenience for people.

In the past, the rate of monthly pension and social insurance benefits payment via ATM in mountainous areas has encountered many difficulties. Typically, in Dak Nong , in the payment period of December 2024, the number of people receiving monthly pension and social insurance benefits via ATM in urban areas accounted for 69% of the total number of beneficiaries. The implementation of non-cash payments in the XXV region has encountered many difficulties, both from the implementing agencies and beneficiaries.

However, in a short time, with the appropriate approach, the drastic participation of the Social Insurance agency and authorities at all levels has created a strong change, the number of people receiving pensions and social insurance benefits via ATMs has increased rapidly in the total number of people receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits in the XXV region.

Mr. Dang Hong Tuan - Director of Social Insurance Region XXV said: “Our long-term goal is to gradually mobilize pensioners and monthly social insurance beneficiaries to receive benefits through their accounts, both saving time and costs for people and contributing to modernizing the management of the social insurance industry. This is also a step forward in reforming administrative procedures in accordance with the Government's direction on promoting payment of social security services through non-cash payment methods. However, we are still flexible and ensure maximum support for cases that need to continue receiving cash.”
