Nghe An Newspaper, Radio and Television visited and presented gifts to 2 heroic Vietnamese Mothers

On the morning of July 23, a working delegation of Nghe An Newspaper, Radio and Television led by Mr. Phan Van Thang - Member of the Party Executive Committee, Deputy Editor-in-Chief visited and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Chau in Lam Thanh Commune and Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh in Truong Vinh Ward (Nghe An). Also accompanying were representatives of the Trade Union, Youth Union and Office of Nghe An Newspaper, Radio and Television.

On this occasion, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Mother Nguyen Thi Chau in Lam Thanh commune, Nghe An province. Mother Nguyen Thi Chau is 94 years old this year, has 7 children, of which the first 2 sons are martyrs, sacrificed in the resistance war against the US to save the country, on the Quang Tri battlefield in 1972.

In 1973, Mother's younger brother also died. In 2 years, Mother lost 3 relatives. With that great pain, and suffering from heart disease, in the years after peace, according to Ms. Hoa - the daughter of the Grandfather, every time she saw the shadow of soldiers passing by the house, Mother fainted. But with the care of her children, relatives, and encouragement from authorities at all levels, Mother's pain gradually subsided and she now lives with her youngest son in Lam Thanh commune (Nghe An).

The delegation also visited and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh in Truong Vinh Ward. Mother Oanh is 93 years old this year, has 8 children, of which 2 sons are martyrs, sacrificed in 1979 and 1981 on the Cambodian battlefield.

Carrying out the work of "Repaying gratitude" and the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", Nghe An Newspaper, Radio and Television have taken care of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Chau and Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh for many years. Officials, reporters and staff of Nghe An Newspaper, Radio and Television have regularly visited and encouraged the Mothers on holidays and Tet...

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), Deputy Editor-in-Chief Phan Van Thang, representing the Party Committee and Editorial Board of Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television, kindly inquired about the health, encouraged the spirit and presented gifts of gratitude to Mother Nguyen Thi Chau and Mother Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh. The delegation wished the two Mothers to always live happily and healthily, and continue to be the spiritual support for their children and grandchildren.

This is also a meaningful activity of Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television towards welcoming the first Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
