The conference heard the announcement of Decision No. 2821/QD-BQP dated June 14, 2025 of the Ministry of National Defense on merging and reorganizing the Provincial Military Command (Soc Trang, Hau Giang), Can Tho City into the Can Tho City Military Command under Military Region 9.

Accordingly, the Can Tho City Military Command received the handover of the following contents: Party organization and political work; combat readiness, training, drills, rescue; force building; management of materials and public assets; barracks and defense land by group and sector.

Concluding the conference, Lieutenant General Ho Van Thai, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 9 acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility and close coordination between the Military Command of Hau Giang Province, the Military Command of Soc Trang Province and the Military Command of Can Tho City in the process of implementing the handover. The Political Commissar of the Military Region highly appreciated the units' serious implementation, in accordance with the approved procedures and plans; ensuring synchronization and effectiveness in all aspects of work.
