Before the merger, Bac Lieu province had 12 typical tourist destinations in the Mekong Delta region. Bac Lieu in the hearts of tourists is a land of cultural tourism, associated with branded products that cannot be confused with any other locality. These are the Bac Lieu Prince's House Tourist Area, Quan Am Phat Dai Area, Hung Vuong Square, Southern Amateur Music Art Memorial Area and Cao Van Lau Musician. Not only having cultural depth, Bac Lieu tourism also embraces great aspirations that are being nurtured with clean energy destinations.

Coming to Ca Mau province (old), tourists can immerse themselves in the blue of the sea and the vast pristine forests, listen to the story of Uncle Ba Phi, indulge in the melodies of traditional music and enjoy specialties. Especially, the overlap in the color of tourism products with the provinces in the region and in the two old localities. Therefore, restructuring tours and tourism routes is extremely important after the merger, to help Ca Mau province make a breakthrough in tourism.

Mr. Tran Van Thao, Director of Vietravel branch in Ca Mau province, shared: “After the merger, Ca Mau’s tourism brand will be bigger, its products will be more diverse and of better quality. Especially in the future, when the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway is completed and Ca Mau airport is expanded, it will open up great opportunities for tourism businesses to develop.”

Hoa Binh 1 wind power tourism area is being strongly developed by travel businesses to serve tourists.

To catch up with the new trend, according to Mr. Thao, the company is reorganizing tours, both highlighting typical products and ensuring harmony between types of tourism. With a large number of visitors from the Central and Northern provinces, in the past, after landing at Can Tho airport, visitors traveled along the route of Can Tho, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau. Currently, the tour planned by the company is to first take visitors to Ca Mau Cape, U Minh Ha National Park, then go in the opposite direction along National Highway 1 to visit Noc Nang Relic Site, Tac Say Church and then visit destinations in Bac Lieu province (old). The company also identified the Hoa Binh 1 Wind Power Eco-tourism Area in Vinh Hau commune as one of the "key" products of the journey to explore Ca Mau.

Immediately after the province's merger, Cong Tu Bac Lieu Tourism Service Joint Stock Company in Bac Lieu ward actively surveyed the products of Ca Mau province (old), and at the same time sought partners for cooperation and development.

Ms. Phan Thi Mong Dung, Head of Sales Department of Cong Tu Bac Lieu Hotel, said: “After a survey, Cong Tu Bac Lieu Hotel has cooperated with Hoang Ho Restaurant and Hotel in An Xuyen Ward to connect destinations. The two sides also agreed to develop a tour “up the forest, down to the sea” to bring tourists a journey to discover the natural beauty and cultural identity of the new land”.

Now, Ca Mau land is becoming more attractive and colorful when converging attractive destinations. The vast space has opened up a new and attractive route to invite tourists and friends from far away to come and experience.
