(LĐ online) - On the afternoon of June 26, in Da Lat City, the Executive Board of the Veteran Business Clubs of the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong held a meeting to discuss and discuss solutions on the merger plan and operational orientation in the context of province merger and implementation of the two-level local government model.

Co-chairing the conference were comrades: Vu Cong Tien - Chairman of the Association of War Veterans of Lam Dong province; Pham Van Long - Chairman of the Association of War Veterans of Binh Thuan province; Phan Van Buu - Chairman of the Association of War Veterans of Dak Nong province.

Also attending were comrades in the Standing Committee and members of the Executive Board of the Veteran Entrepreneurs Clubs of the 3 provinces.

At the conference, delegates shared the current status of operations, development orientation and strengths of the Clubs in recent times.

The Lam Dong Province Veterans Entrepreneurs Club currently has 78 members; more than 200 small and medium enterprises, 25 cooperatives, 60 cooperative groups and nearly 3,000 farms, ranches and service businesses owned by veterans. Some businesses achieve revenue of over 50 billion VND/year, mainly focusing on high-tech agriculture , vegetables, flowers and tourism.

In Binh Thuan province, the Veterans Entrepreneurs Club has 55 members, operating mainly in the following industries: tourism, seafood and renewable energy, which are key economic sectors of the locality.

In Dak Nong, the Club has 179 members, developing strongly in the fields of agriculture (coffee, pepper, cashew), mining industry and eco-tourism.

In recent times, the Veteran Entrepreneurs Club of 3 provinces has promoted its role as a bridge in economic development, supporting members in linking production, consuming products, improving competitiveness and promoting brands. Thereby, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction, improving the lives of veterans and promoting local socio-economic development.

At the conference, delegates actively exchanged and discussed the organizational orientation and operating model of the Veteran Entrepreneurs Club in the new context. Many opinions focused on improving the effectiveness of gathering and promoting the role of the veteran entrepreneurs, connecting the club's activities from the grassroots to the provincial level.

After a lively discussion, the conference agreed: Provincial Clubs need to proactively review and grasp the force of war veteran entrepreneurs and enterprises, focusing on consolidating the organization of clubs at commune, ward and special zone levels. Delegates also agreed to establish a temporary provincial War Veteran Entrepreneurs Club Executive Committee; at the same time, gradually build a roadmap to develop the Club into a provincial War Veteran Entrepreneurs Association when conditions are met.
