Strengthening Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers after administrative unit arrangement

(LĐ online) - On June 28, Mr. Pham Kim Quang - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province said that, based on Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW dated April 12, 2025 of the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee and Decision No. 759/QD-TTg dated April 14, 2025 of the Prime Minister on approving the Project on rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels, associated with building a two-level local government organization model, Lam Dong province has deployed the organization and rearrangement of the system of Continuing Education Centers, Vocational Education - Continuing Education (VET-GDTX) in a streamlined and effective direction.

Awarding Appointment Decisions to Leaders of Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers

On the basis of receiving the existing facilities, equipment, finance and staff from existing centers, the Departmentof Education and Training of Lam Dong province has developed a project to establish vocational education and continuing education centers under the Department, replacing the previous management model under the district-level People's Committee. The reorganization of the center system aims to reduce the number of focal points, streamline the payroll, improve the efficiency of using existing staff and facilities; at the same time, better meet the learning and vocational training needs of people in inter-commune and ward areas after implementing the arrangement of commune-level administrative units.

On June 28, the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province held a ceremony to announce and award decisions to appoint Directors and Deputy Directors of Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers in the province.

After the arrangement, Lam Dong has 6 Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers including Da Lat Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center (based on the original merger of Lac Duong Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center and Lam Dong Provincial Vocational Education Center in Da Lat city); Bao Loc Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center (based on the original merger of Bao Lam Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center and Bao Loc Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center); Di Linh Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center; Da Huoai District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center; Lam Ha Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center (based on the original merger of Lam Ha Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center and Dam Rong Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center); Duc Trong Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center (based on the original merger of Duc Trong Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center and Don Duong Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center).

The announcement and awarding of the decision to appoint Directors and Deputy Directors of Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers is not only a step to perfect the organization according to the policy of rearranging administrative units but also an important premise to improve the quality of management, organization of teaching and vocational training in the province. Lam Dong Department of Education and Training expressed the hope that the leadership team of the centers will continue to make efforts to innovate management, improve the quality of education and vocational training, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for the locality in the new period.
