Attending the event were leaders of 4 localities where the racetrack passes through: Sa Pa ward, Ta Van commune, Ta Phin commune, Ban Ho commune and representatives of relevant agencies and units.

Unlike previous years, the VMM 2025 Award is a special event, marking the first year the award is held in the context of localities implementing the two-tier local government model.
At the same time, this year, the Vietnam Mountain Marathon officially joined the World Trail Majors, becoming the first trail race in Vietnam in this prestigious system, marking a big step forward, affirming the international position of the race, and at the same time, contributing to promoting the natural beauty and culture of Sa Pa to the world .
This change also requires close and synchronous coordination between management agencies and localities where the race route passes through to ensure the tournament takes place safely and successfully.

According to the announcement from the Organizing Committee, it is expected that there will be about 3,200 athletes from 46 countries and territories, of which about 30% are foreigners participating.
Athletes will compete in five distances: 10km, 21km, 50km, 70km and 100km. Notably, this year the Tournament does not have a 160km distance (because this distance is only held every two years)…

In addition to its sporting significance, VMM 2025 continues to carry a deep charitable spirit. The Organizing Committee has committed to allocating 50% of the contributions from athletes registering for distances of 21km or more to charity activities in Sa Pa. The remaining 50% will be donated to organizations such as Newborns Vietnam (supporting newborns), Blue Dragon (helping street children) and Operation Smile Vietnam.

At the meeting, Topas Travel representatives presented detailed plans for the event, including: event organization plans; ensuring the running track; medical , logistics and coordination to ensure security, traffic, etc.
The delegates attending together with the leaders of Sa Pa ward, Ta Phin, Ta Van and Ban Ho communes also gave their opinions with the goal of creating the best conditions for the success of the Tournament, continuing and raising the position of the Vietnam Mountain Marathon (VMM) in the following years...
Opinions focused on ensuring security and order, traffic flow in important areas, maintaining environmental sanitation, preventing forest fires, and arranging support and medical points along the route, and developing plans to promptly respond to all situations such as weather and possible incidents.
The 12th Vietnam Mountain Marathon (VMM) 2025 is expected to take place in Sa Pa from September 19 to 21, 2025.
In addition, official and sideline activities such as music, exchanges and fairs with 25 booths of charities and major sports companies sponsoring the tournament are also held.
This event is not only a race, but also an opportunity to promote Sa Pa culture and people to international friends, contributing to the development of sustainable tourism for the locality.
