Bamboo Capital has a new chairman

(NLDO)- Mr. Tan Bo Quan, Andy (born in 1986) was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Bamboo Capital from May 2021.


Bamboo Capital Group Corporation (stock code: BCG) has just announced the resolution of the Board of Directors on the dismissal and election of a new Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Specifically, the Board of Directors of Bamboo Capital approved the dismissal of Mr. Kou Kok Yiow (Singaporean) from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors due to his death on March 8. The Board of Directors then elected Mr. Tan Bo Quan, Andy to this position.

According to the group's website, Mr. Tan Bo Quan, Andy (born in 1986) was appointed as a member of the company's Board of Directors from May 2021. Previously, he was also an independent member of the Board of Directors at Transport and Industrial Development Investment Joint Stock Company (TRACODI) and BCG Land Joint Stock Company.

Since 2016, Mr. Andy has joined Bamboo Capital as a Project Director. In addition, he also holds the position of Member of the Board of Supervisors of BCG and BCG Energy (a subsidiary of BCG).

He has many years of experience working in the field of financial consulting, insurance and real estate services.

Andy is the co-founder and CEO of A Consulting Group Pte. Ltd from 2014-2016. He holds a Bachelor of Communication and Journalism from the National University of Singapore.

In addition to holding the position of Chairman at Bamboo Capital, he is also currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of BCG Land.

On the same day, Bamboo Capital also announced that two other members of the Board of Directors, Mr. Hoang Trung Thanh and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, submitted their resignations on March 18, ending their roles as members of the Board of Directors from March 20.

In their resignation letters, the two men said they wanted to leave their positions for personal reasons and to focus on carrying out new tasks.

In 2024, Bamboo Capital recorded net revenue of VND1,133 billion, down 3.8% year-on-year. However, profit after tax in the fourth quarter recovered strongly year-on-year to VND96.5 billion.

Accumulated for the whole year of 2024, Bamboo Capital Group recorded consolidated net revenue of VND 4,371 billion, an increase of 9% compared to 2023. After deducting expenses, the group's profit after tax for the whole year reached VND 844.8 billion, an increase of 393.8% compared to 2023.
