According to the Departmentof Education and Training of Bac Kan, the whole province has 3,368 candidates registered for the exam. Of these, 3,122 candidates are in the group studying the new program (General Education Program 2018) and the remaining 246 candidates are following the General Education Program 2006.
To meet the requirements for organizing exams for both programs, Bac Kan has arranged 15 exam sites, including 14 exam sites for candidates under the new program, located in districts and cities; one exam site in Bac Kan city is exclusively for candidates under the old program.
One of the new points of this year’s exam is the clear distinction between the two groups of candidates taking the exam under the old and new curriculum. For example, in Geography, candidates studying the 2006 curriculum are allowed to bring an Atlas into the exam room, while candidates studying the 2018 curriculum are not.

In addition, regulations on time to be present in the exam room and waiting time between combined exams are also different, requiring guidance and communication to each student to be extremely clear and specific.
In order to help students get used to the new exam format and improve the quality of their preparation, the Bac Kan Department of Education and Training organized a mock exam last April. The results from the mock exam were used by schools to classify and consolidate students’ knowledge, and at the same time adjust the preparation method to suit each student’s ability.
At the same time, schools have proactively organized review sessions based on reference exam questions, and increased coordination with parents and local authorities in managing and supporting students.
Inter-sectoral coordination was closely implemented. The Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Provincial Police to organize training on the prevention of exam cheating, especially the identification of high-tech devices.
The exam management software system is also thoroughly trained for all managers and exam administrators, helping to minimize errors during the exam organization process.
In addition, inspection and examination work was carried out systematically. During the school year, the Department inspected all 23 related units, from high schools, vocational education and continuing education centers to Bac Kan College.
In addition, the province has established eight inspection teams and one exam on-duty team to ensure the exam takes place safely and seriously.
According to information from the Department of Education Quality Management - Information Technology (Department of Education and Training of Bac Kan province), the province has been actively preparing adequate facilities, human resources and necessary conditions for this year's exam to take place in accordance with regulations, creating the most favorable conditions for candidates.
In the coming time, Bac Kan will continue to urge and inspect the preparation work at each examination site; provide professional training for all forces participating in organizing the exam and resolutely not allow any mistakes to occur at any stage.
The ultimate goal is to organize the 2025 high school graduation exam seriously, fairly, and safely, helping students confidently enter one of the most important exams in their lives.
