8 cars collided on Trung Luong highway

At about 3:40 p.m. on February 18 (the 9th day of the Lunar New Year), on the Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway, Km74 in Cai Lay District ( Tien Giang ), heading from the West to Ho Chi Minh City, an accident occurred involving 8 cars. Among them were 1 sleeper bus, 1 29-seat bus, 1 16-seat bus, 1 truck and 4 cars.

The door of the sleeper bus was torn off after the accident.

At the scene, the vehicles were stuck together, and finally the sleeper bus was pinned to the back of the truck, the sleeper bus driver was injured.

Because the crashed vehicles occupied most of the road, it caused traffic jams for many kilometers.

Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway was jammed for many kilometers after a series of 8 car crashes.

Earlier, at around 3 p.m. the same day, on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway (Km29, Thu Thua District, Long An ), heading from the West to Ho Chi Minh City, there was also an accident involving 3 small cars colliding in a row. As a result, 3 cars were damaged and caused traffic jams for many kilometers. Immediately after that, the authorities promptly handled the situation.
