The event was organized by the Vietnam Military History Museum in coordination with the Navy Political Department and Tan Ha Noi Arts Company Limited, with the support of Bao Viet Life Corporation.

The exhibition displays 208 works of art, including 197 paintings, graphics, sketches and 11 sculptures. These are typical works of many generations of painters and sculptors from the period of Indochina fine arts, resistance art to the period of building and defending the Fatherland today. Rich materials such as oil paint, lacquer, acrylic, silk, wood carving, composite... have depicted the golden pages of the nation's history, from the resistance war against France and America to the cause of national construction and protection of sea and island sovereignty .

In his opening speech, Colonel Le Vu Huy, Director of the Vietnam Military History Museum emphasized: “Fine art about revolutionary history and traditions is a source of inspiration for many generations of painters and sculptors inside and outside the Army. Through that, works of art become sharp weapons on the ideological front, contributing to encouraging and motivating the army and people to achieve victory, as well as adding strength to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today.”

In particular, this exhibition respectfully introduces sketches of the anti-American battlefield by artists Le Lam, Pham Ngoc Lieu, Phan Oanh, honoring special forces soldiers, female militia, national mothers, foster brothers, etc.; along with a series of classic works such as "Liberating Buon Ma Thuot" (Tran Huu Chat), "Dien Bien Phu in the air" (Nguyen Thuan), "Missile truck crossing Long Bien bridge" (Van Da). Along with that, there are many new works about the islands such as "Hien ngang Truong Sa" (Pham Hoang Van), "Binh minh nha rig DK1" (Tran Tuan Long), "La coc co o Truong Sa Lon island" (Nguyen Thu Thuy)...

Painter Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, author of The Ceramic Road along the Red River and also the initiator of the exhibition, shared: “I hope that through painting and sculpture, the public can deeply feel the revolutionary spirit, the simple but noble beauty of Uncle Ho's soldiers, as well as the awareness of preserving the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.”
The exhibition "Historical Days" is a cultural activity that contributes to educating revolutionary traditions, fostering patriotism and solidarity in the new era.
