130 youth volunteer teams in Nghe An support people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3
Nghe An Youth Union has established 130 youth volunteer teams with more than 1,300 members and young people to support people in responding to and overcoming the consequences caused by storm No. 3 Wipha.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union said that, implementing the direction of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Nghe An province on proactively responding to storm No. 3, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee requested the Youth Union Standing Committees of communes, wards and affiliated units to implement a number of important contents.
The focus is on establishing Youth Volunteer teams to support people before and after storm No. 3 in localities and units; focusing on the following contents: Supporting people to reinforce their houses, evacuate people and property to safe places before the storm hits; Supporting crop harvesting and transporting agricultural products to areas at risk of being affected.

The Youth Volunteer Teams responding to Storm No. 3 coordinated with local authorities in ensuring traffic safety, drainage, environmental sanitation, clearing trees and obstacles on the road after the storm; Supporting the recovery and repair of houses and structures affected by the storm; Visiting, encouraging and supporting families affected by the storm...
The teams are on duty 24/7, proactively monitoring storm developments to promptly develop and deploy response plans appropriate to the actual local situation.

In particular, the young police force of the whole province has urgently stuck to the area, directly present at flooded and landslide areas to support people in transporting food, necessities, and livestock to higher ground. At the same time, the force also actively guides people to move in the right direction, avoiding crossing areas with fast-flowing water, ensuring the safety of life and property.
The local police force organized 100% of its personnel on duty, mobilizing all forces to participate in ensuring traffic safety at the grassroots level, proactively responding to storms, floods and promptly overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in the area.
