(CLO) On November 2, 2024, at the National Cinema Center ( Hanoi ), the Volunteer Launch Ceremony to support the 7th Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF VII) took place. The event opened the series of activities of this year's Hanoi International Film Festival.
The launching ceremony of volunteers to support the 7th Hanoi International Film Festival in 2024 had the participation of 100 young people, who will accompany and stand side by side in the main events and activities of HANIFF VII as volunteers.
The selected volunteers are students recruited from prestigious universities such as: Hanoi National University, Diplomatic Academy, Foreign Trade University, Hanoi University..., fluent in English, French, Chinese, German..., proficient in information technology.
Mr. Do Quoc Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Cinema (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) spoke at the event.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Do Quoc Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Cinema ( Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ) said that the Hanoi International Film Festival is held every two years, going through 6 seasons with many impressions and successes with international friends at home and abroad. This year's Hanoi International Film Festival will welcome hundreds of international and domestic delegates, including filmmakers, film activists and artists to exchange, share experiences, and participate in dozens of large and small events during the 5 official days of the Film Festival.
Therefore, to bring the best image of the Film Festival to international friends and movie lovers in Hanoi, the Organizing Committee has selected 100 volunteers to support guests within the framework of the Film Festival.
"With a sense of responsibility and youthful enthusiasm, volunteers will make practical and meaningful contributions not only to the Film Festival but also to show the image of friendly, hospitable Vietnamese people, with a professional and thoughtful working spirit to international friends, so that the volunteer team will always be the brand that makes the Hanoi International Film Festival successful" - Deputy Director of the Department of Cinema Do Quoc Viet emphasized.
100 volunteers participating in HANIFF VII took a souvenir photo at the event.
Mr. Le Quang Minh, representative of 100 volunteers who will support the Hanoi International Film Festival 2024, shared: "As a volunteer coordinator for the Film Festival, I am very honored that the Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Linkage Club, the Department of Cinema and the Film Festival Organizing Committee have trusted and assigned me the task. We are fully aware of our responsibility for a large-scale, world-class film event of Vietnam".
"With the spirit of vanguard, responsibility of youth and the spirit of youth union members, we volunteers will promote the spirit of solidarity, initiative, and creativity; strictly implement the regulations of the Film Festival Organizing Committee; be serious about style and time during the Film Festival; ensure security and safety issues for each volunteer and international guests," added Mr. Le Quang Minh.
The 2024 Hanoi International Film Festival is expected to be held in Hanoi from November 7 to 11, 2024.
