Geely's luxury car brand Zeekr has just announced more information about the equipment for the new flagship SUV 9X. Accordingly, the car will be equipped with a Naim sound system from the UK. Previously, Naim was the exclusive supplier for the super luxury car brand Bentley. Naim has won the prestigious Queen's Award three times in the UK. In the automotive sector, it has supplied premium audio systems for iconic Bentley models such as the Flying Spur, Continental GT and Bentayga. For these Bentley models, the top-spec Naim audio system can add up to $19,000 to the price.
Bentley previously announced in August 2023 that 18 Mulliner-built Batur hypercars would feature an optional “Naim for Mulliner” audio system. According to Bentley, this is “the most sophisticated in-car audio system ever created,” the result of 10,000 hours of development, with all-new hardware. The optional “Naim for Mulliner” sound system costs up to £25,000 (about 890 million VND). On the Zeekr 9X, the Naim sound system is integrated with a configuration of 32 speakers and 8 vibrators mounted in the seats, arranged throughout the interior. The system has 40 independent channels, with a maximum output of 3,868 W. According to Zeekr, this is a new world record for the power of an in-car audio system. The speaker layout is designed according to the 9.2.4.8 standard, including 9 surround speakers, 2 subwoofers, 4 overhead channels and 8 headrest speaker channels, with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 40 kHz.
In addition to the "luxurious, high-end" sound system, the Zeekr 9X also possesses many other impressive technical specifications and equipment. In the large SUV segment, the new Zeekr has dimensions of length x width x height of 5,239 x 2,019 x 1,819 mm and a wheelbase of 3,169 mm. Dubbed the "Chinese Rolls-Royce Cullian", the Zeekr 9X has a 6-seat interior with a 2+2+2 seat configuration. The second row includes two separate business class seats with electric footrests and zero gravity mode. Meanwhile, the dashboard comes with a large, floating central touch screen and a row of physical buttons below. The area between the two front seats has two wireless charging trays, a crystal gear lever and many wood-paneled details. The main gear lever is located behind the D-shaped steering wheel while the seat adjustment buttons are integrated on the door panels. The car uses buttons instead of traditional door handles. The next highlight of the car is the plug-in hybrid powertrain (PHEV), including a 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine with a maximum capacity of 205 kW (275 horsepower), thermal efficiency of more than 46%. In addition, the car also has 3 silicon carbide electric motors with a total capacity of 1,030 kW (1,381 horsepower). The car is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and a maximum speed of 240 km/h.
The Zeekr 9X’s battery has a capacity of 70 kWh, the largest ever, providing an electric range of up to 380 km according to CLTC standards and supporting 6C fast charging thanks to a 900V electrical system. This allows the car to charge from 20% to 80% in just 9 minutes. After fully charging the battery and filling it with gas, the car can travel over 1,000 km. The most advanced version of the Zeekr 9X uses the G-Pilot H9 driving assistance system, meeting level 3 self-driving standards, thanks to 5 520-line LiDAR sensors and 2 Nvidia Drive Thor chips with a total computing performance of 1,400 TOPS. The car costs about 600,000 yuan (equivalent to 2.1 billion VND).
