That is the information announced by Yen Bai province at the online conference of the Steering Committees on eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; important national works and projects, key transport sector projects and promoting public investment in 2025 held on June 22.

In 2025, Yen Bai province issued a project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with the goal of supporting all 2,208 houses with an implementation cost of about 120.69 billion VND, from the state budget and socialized sources.

Up to now, the whole Yen Bai province has completed the support for building 2,208 houses according to the Project, completing nearly 80 days ahead of the set target. Yen Bai province has provided sufficient funding to implement the Project for localities to implement. Funding for implementation comes from the budget, socialized sources and mobilized contributions and support from families and communities. The total mobilized funding for implementing the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Yen Bai province reached nearly 363 billion VND, 3 times higher than the estimated funding for implementing the Project...

Of the total 2,208 houses (1,815 newly built, 393 repaired), households with meritorious services and martyrs' relatives have 272 houses; poor and near-poor households under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses have completed 1,936 houses.

Through assessment, local Party committees and authorities in Yen Bai province have paid attention to thoroughly grasping, organizing propaganda, mobilizing support to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for policy households and poor households in the area, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction, improving the quality of life, and ensuring social security in the area.

To achieve this result, Yen Bai has mobilized the participation of the entire political system from the province to the grassroots. The Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses was established at all three levels, with clear operating regulations. Localities proactively determined the progress, assigned specific officials in charge, guided and urged the implementation in each village, hamlet and residential group. In particular, the Fatherland Front at all levels played a core role in mobilizing resources and supervising the implementation.

Militia and youth union members have participated in hundreds of working days, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and mutual love. Along with that, many economic models such as planting forests, cinnamon, bamboo shoots or tea have created jobs, stable income, contributing to changing the face of mountainous rural areas.
