Building Danang University into a key training and research center of the country

The congress has the theme "Promoting the tradition of solidarity and achievements, determined to build Danang University (UD) into a key training and research center of the country" with the motto "Solidarity - Intelligence - Innovation - Development".

According to the report at the congress, UD has become a national key regional university with 6 member schools, training 147 undergraduate majors and 49 master's majors. Many key majors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), information technology, and financial technology (Fintech) have been and are being deployed, meeting the urgent needs of society and affirming its leading position.

To realize the goal, key infrastructure projects are being accelerated. The UD Urban Area Project has completed site clearance of nearly 79/110ha on the Da Nang side. In the 2022 - 2025 period, sub-projects on technical infrastructure construction using World Bank loans and site clearance compensation in Hoa Quy have been implemented. The medium-term public investment plan for the 2026 - 2030 period has also been submitted to the Ministry of Education and Training.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Party Committee of the University of Danang admitted 720 outstanding people to the Party (including 159 officials and 561 students), exceeding the set target. The enrollment work achieved good results, the training quality is increasing, affirming the prestige of the University of Danang. In 2024, for the first time, the University of Danang recruited over 15,000 new students.

The Congress focused on discussing directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term to continue building a clean and strong Party Committee of the University of Danang with high fighting capacity and leadership ability.

Perfecting the advanced university governance model according to international practices, bringing UD into the top 50 universities in Southeast Asia, the top 400-450 universities in Asia. Strive to develop UD into a National University according to Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW, Conclusion No. 79-KL/TW of the Politburo .

Developing the University of Danang into a center for training elite human resources, basically becoming a smart university, conducting scientific research, technology and innovation, applying and transferring advanced knowledge and technology; actively consulting on policies to contribute to the development of the region and the country.

At the congress, the representative of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Da Nang City announced the decisions on personnel appointments. Accordingly, Mr. Phan Minh Duc - Chairman of the Council of the University of Da Nang continues to hold the position of Party Secretary; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu - Director of the University of Da Nang continues to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Da Nang.
