The group stage of men's football at the 33rd SEA Games in 2025 is divided into 3 groups, each group competing in a different location.

Accordingly, U22 Vietnam will compete in Chiang Mai. Host U22 Thailand will compete in Bangkok, while defending champion Indonesia will play group stage matches in Songkhla. U22 Indonesia, U22 Thailand and U22 Vietnam are the teams ranked in the top three positions at the most recent SEA Games.
After advancing from the group stage, the men's football teams will compete in the semi-finals and medal matches in Bangkok.
The group stage of the men's football event at the 33rd SEA Games is scheduled to take place from December 3 to December 12. The semi-finals will take place on December 15. The final and bronze medal matches will take place on December 18.
Eleven men's football teams are participating in this year's Southeast Asian Games, including Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Brunei, Timor Leste, Myanmar, Singapore and Vietnam.
At the 33rd SEA Games, host Thailand will host all four football events, including men's football, women's football, men's futsal and women's futsal. Vietnam is a candidate for the championship in all four events.
