Tri Ton Commune eradicates cockfighting den for money

On August 5, during the peak of the campaign to crack down on crime and ensure security and order, at 11:00 a.m., Tri Ton Commune Police successfully destroyed a cockfighting den for money on an empty lot in To Thuy Hamlet.

The subjects were arrested.

At the time of the inspection, the police discovered many people gathering to gamble on cockfighting. When they discovered the police, the people ran away. The police promptly controlled and arrested 6 people including Huynh Duc Giang (born in 1993, residing in Chau Doc ward); Nguyen Van Sy (born in 1970) and Nguyen Van Nhi (born in 1993, both residing in Co To commune); Le Van Nghia (born in 2002, residing in Vinh An commune); Nguyen Van Cong (born in 1988, residing in Tri Ton commune); Nguyen Van Chan (born in 1974, residing in Nui Cam commune).

At the scene, the police seized 2 fighting cocks, 2 pairs of iron spurs, 5 mobile phones and 9 motorbikes. In addition, when checking the subjects, the police temporarily seized more than 600,000 VND in cash.

Tri Ton Commune Police are continuing to investigate and handle the case.
