Song Cau commune meets advanced new rural standards

Song Cau Commune received the certificate of recognition as a commune meeting advanced new rural standards in 2025.

Song Cau commune has 433 households, nearly 1,500 people, with 8 ethnic groups living together. Song Cau is a purely agricultural commune, people's income mainly depends on agricultural production. In 2019, Song Cau commune was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting the new rural standards. The Party Committee, government and people of the commune continue to unite, join hands, and deploy many synchronous solutions in implementing the program, especially in developing production, creating jobs, and increasing income for people. Up to now, rural infrastructure has been invested synchronously; people's income and living conditions continue to improve, the poverty rate has decreased sharply, currently the commune has only 4 poor households and 8 near-poor households. People in the area focus on agricultural production with fruit trees of high economic value such as: green-skinned grapefruit, durian, rambutan, jackfruit, mango...; the grassroots political system has been strengthened; The political situation and security and order in the commune are maintained and stable. Currently, the average income per capita reaches 61.73 million VND/person/year (1.6 times higher than in 2019); the multidimensional poverty rate is only 1.85%; the rate of trained workers reaches 81.53% (of which the rate of having degrees and certificates reaches 46.33%); 95.13% of people participate in health insurance. With that achievement, the Provincial People's Committee has decided to recognize Song Cau commune as meeting the advanced NTM standards in 2025.

Collectives and individuals received awards from the People's Committee of Song Cau commune for their outstanding achievements in implementing the new rural program.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, requested the Party Committee, government and people of the commune to continue to strive, maintain and constantly improve the quality of the NTM criteria. In particular, focusing on developing production, increasing income, taking care of people's material and spiritual life; promoting cooperation and linkage in production and consumption of products according to value chains associated with quality standards and growing area codes; strengthening the implementation of sustainable poverty reduction through policies to support project implementation and production development plans; developing high-tech production models associated with effective implementation of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program...

On the same morning, Khanh Vinh District People's Committee held a ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition of communes meeting NTM standards in 2025 for Khanh Binh and Khanh Dong communes.
