Flood discharge of Cam Thuy 1 hydropower reservoir from 5:00 p.m. today to 5:30 p.m. on July 26

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Currently, on the Ma River, the water level is flowing into the Cam Thuy 1 hydropower plant reservoir with a flow rate of 900 m3/s to 1,000 m3/s. Infrastructure and Transport Construction Investment Joint Stock Company (Intracom) announced the continued discharge of floodwater from the Cam Thuy 1 hydropower reservoir to ensure the water level of the reservoir is maintained below the dead water level of 25.5m.

Estimated flood discharge time: From 5:00 p.m., July 18, 2025, expected end time of discharge from 5:30 p.m., July 26, 2025.

The expected discharge flow is from 950 m3/s to 1,600 m3 ^/ s (depending on the water flow to the lake) and ensures the lake water level is maintained at the dead water level of 25.5m (Normal water level 25.5m).

Total expected downstream flow: Q = Q factory + Q spillway = 950 m ³ /s to 1,600 m ³ /s;

Downstream water level difference from: elevation 19m to 25m

Intracom requests the People's Committees of the communes: Thieu Hoa, Thieu Trung, Thieu Toan, Thieu Tien, Thieu Quang, Yen Dinh, Yen Truong, Yen Phu, Quy Loc, Yen Ninh, Dinh Tan, Dinh Hoa, Vinh Loc, Tay Do, Bien Thuong, Cam Thach, Cam Thuy, Cam Tu, Cam Tan, Cam Van to urgently notify the people and villages along the banks of the Ma River to have a proactive plan to protect people, property, trees, crops, cattle, fish, livestock, aquatic products, houses, and architecture. People absolutely do not travel, collect firewood, fish... in dangerous areas with high risk of landslides, rapid water flow, and locations with flood warning signs.

Intracom will not be responsible for compensation if households, individuals, organizations, and communes do not take preventive measures to protect people and property according to this notice. Communes in the downstream area need to have a proactive plan to evacuate people to safety if necessary.
