Mr. Dinh Van Huom, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ben Hien Commune, said that currently, the commune has 162 war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs and relatives of people with revolutionary contributions. During the two resistance wars, more than 20 children of Ben Hien heroically sacrificed; 130 war invalids, sick soldiers and 20 people have to suffer from the after-effects of toxic chemicals.
In recent years, Ben Hien commune has effectively implemented the work of caring for policy families and people with meritorious services. The movement of supporting capital and providing technical guidance on production for farmers and women in the policy has been effectively implemented; the work of "Repaying gratitude" and housing support has been given timely attention...
On behalf of the commune leaders, Party Secretary Dinh Van Huom expressed deep gratitude and wished that policy families and meritorious people continue to promote revolutionary traditions, be exemplary in life, and be a shining example for the younger generation to follow.
