Fostering family values in the 4.0 era

At the Festival, the Organizing Committee screened the documentary clip "Godmother - Journey to light up the future". After more than 4 years of implementing the "Godmother" Program, 100% of children orphaned by Covid-19 in the area have a "Godmother". 100% of the Association's facilities participated in the program to sponsor orphans until the age of 18, with the number of orphans sponsored being 168 (including the Provincial Women's Union receiving 3 children; districts, cities, towns, and affiliated units receiving 45 children and facilities receiving 120 children).

Up to now, in the province, there are 1,357 orphans due to Covid-19, orphans due to other circumstances that need attention and support. In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, the Provincial Women's Union at all levels maintained and received support to care for and raise 517 orphans, with a total value of over 351.5 million VND; bringing the whole province to sponsor 1,570 orphans, with an amount of nearly 8 billion VND, including cash and gifts, clothes, books, candy, school supplies, etc.

Dr. Nguyen Hiep Tri, Deputy Head of the Department of Child Care and Social Protection, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health shared the topic "Cultivating modern family values in the 4.0 era" - a profound and meaningful content to spread the mindset of building a progressive, happy family that is suitable for the trend of the times.

Next to that is the play "Modern Family in the 4.0 Era", a small story but containing a big message: "Love is not about expectation, but about companionship and understanding".

At the Festival, the Organizing Committee also organized exchanges with exemplary families; honored 15 exemplary families in implementing the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" and 10 exemplary mother-child pairs in the "Godmother" Program; awarded scholarships to orphans who overcome difficulties and study well; awarded prizes in the Photo Contest "Moments of loving and reunited families".

Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong, Provincial Party Committee member, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Tien Giang province, said: In recent times, the Women's Union of the province has implemented many practical and meaningful activities to raise awareness and life skills for women, men and family members. The Union at all levels has actively promoted and mobilized members to well implement the Party and State's policies and guidelines on family work; promoted the core role in preserving and cultivating cultural family values, building "5 no, 3 clean" families, "happy families", "exemplary families".

In addition, the Association at all levels also regularly coordinate to organize training courses, thematic activities, forums, and seminars on parenting skills, domestic violence prevention, reproductive health care, moral education, family lifestyle, etc. Models such as "Trusted address in the community", "Women's group without relatives violating the law and social evils", "Happy family building club " ... have been promoting positive effects, contributing to strengthening affection, cohesion and responsibility in each family.

With the close attention and direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the coordination of sectors and organizations, and especially the efforts of women in the province, family work in general and the implementation of models and activities towards building happy and sustainable families have achieved many positive results. The Provincial Women's Union at all levels believes that through the activities responding to Vietnamese Family Day today, each of us will appreciate family values more; at the same time, raise awareness of preserving and promoting traditional cultural beauty in each family, contributing to building a progressive, humane and sustainable society.
