Recently, a customer with a Facebook account named …Tran shared a post on his personal page, reflecting on the loss of more than 43 million VND and mentioning MoMo with unclear information.
After receiving information about the incident, MoMo reviewed the system and found that the customer had no transactions on MoMo in the last month. At the same time, MoMo also contacted the user directly to learn more about the incident and thereby determined that the transaction that the user reported did not occur on MoMo's system. MoMo affirmed that it was not related to the incident that the customer with the Facebook account …Tran reported losing money.
Through this, MoMo stated that it does not store user information when customers link their bank accounts with MoMo, and always puts user security as the top priority in all operations. MoMo affirms the company's commitment to providing and operating intermediary payment services in accordance with the direction and guidance of the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam .
MoMo recommends that users be vigilant to protect their accounts and assets in digital transactions. To avoid falling into the trap of scammers, users should limit providing personal information when not really necessary, limit installing strange applications or clicking on links of unknown origin.
