VF 8 - Electric SUV "superior" to all competitors in the same price range
Since its first launch in the Vietnamese market, VinFast VF 8 has impressed with its technological content and outstanding performance compared to the 5-seat SUV group using gasoline/diesel engines on the market. Through upgrades, this model has become more and more "powerful", especially in terms of technology.
As a car and motorbike reviewer and technology enthusiast, Mr. Pham Ngoc Tan highly appreciates VinFast VF 8 in terms of technology when compared to cars in the same segment and price range on the market. Technology is also the factor that helps this car model score points with customers from young to middle-aged.
“ Remote vehicle management software, remote vehicle software updates, or the latest AI-integrated virtual assistant are things that only VF 8 has in its segment. I consider these to be very good and outstanding points, creating the difference between VinFast electric cars in general and VF 8 in particular compared to other cars on the market ,” Mr. Tan shared.
The VF 8 also stands out with a long list of safety features and equipment, such as the Advanced Safety Assist System (ADAS) with automatic emergency braking, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, 360-degree camera, collision sensors around the car, 11 airbags to protect the safety of the whole family. According to the assessment from the ASEAN NCAP organization, the VF 8 achieved a 5-star safety score - the highest level of the system.
In addition, the VF 8 also scores points in terms of performance with an electric motor that produces up to 402 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque - numbers that are usually only seen on high-performance sports cars. The full-time 4-wheel drive system (Plus version) is also a highly appreciated feature for a family car.
In the Eco 1-wheel drive version, VF 8 can travel up to 562 km after a full charge - an impressive distance that meets the daily travel needs as well as customers who love to "travel".
"Big profit" of nearly 150 million VND when buying VF 8
As someone with many years of experience in the car business, auto expert Doan Anh Dung believes that, besides the advantages in technology and operation, the important reason why VF 8 attracts a large number of customers comes from its attractive price.
“ The selling price of VF 8 is very reasonable. Comparing the same size and model, no other SUV has such a good price, ” he commented.
Currently, VinFast VF 8 has a listed price from 1.019 billion VND, including battery. As an electric vehicle, VF 8 is supported by 100% of the registration fee by the Government until the end of February 2027. Thanks to that, customers save up to more than 100 million VND in vehicle registration costs compared to gasoline/diesel vehicles.
In addition, there are many current incentive programs for the VF 8, making the rolling price of this model even competitive with lower-segment SUVs.
Specifically, thanks to the third "Fierce Vietnamese Spirit - For a Green Future" program, all customers who buy VinFast electric cars will receive a direct 4% discount on the car's selling price. In parallel, the company is offering up to VND50 million in incentives for customers who switch from gasoline to electric cars, and an additional VND50 million in VinClub accounts for customers who register cars in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City until early 2026.
Adding up all the incentives, customers get a “bargain” of up to 148 million VND. Thus, the current rolling cost of VF 8 is just over 1 billion VND – lower than the rolling price of some C-SUV models such as Honda CR-V (up to 1.4 billion VND).
" When we consider the cost and the value of use, VF 8 is clearly an option that is hard to refuse," expert Doan Anh Dung emphasized.
