Vietnam and China strengthen cooperation and apply technology in the judicial field

Vice President of the Supreme People's Court of China Shen Liang welcomed Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Li Mingzhi in Guangdong Province.

During the visit, the high-ranking delegation of the Supreme People's Court visited and worked with the Guangdong Provincial High People's Court; Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court; Shenzhen International Arbitration Center, etc., to discuss in depth the development situation as well as experience in applying artificial intelligence in supporting trials of the two countries' courts.

Speaking at the working sessions with the Guangdong Provincial High People's Court, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri expressed his pleasure in visiting China on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year.

According to Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri, over the past 75 years, the relationship between the two countries has been constantly expanded, increasingly deepened in all fields, especially in the "second golden period" with a new milestone being the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future, which has strategic significance, and the "6 more" orientation, bringing many great achievements and practical benefits to the people of the two countries.

Expressing his impression and appreciation for the prosperous development of Guangdong province in general and the positive results of the Guangdong Provincial High People's Court in particular, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri affirmed that these results have contributed significantly to the overall success and new position of China.

According to Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri, the purpose of the delegation's visit to China this time is to contribute to realizing the common perception of the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries reached during the State visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping in April 2025, thereby identifying the judiciary as one of the important pillars of cooperation, bringing the relationship between the Supreme People's Courts of the two countries in particular and the court systems of the two countries in general to a new height, commensurate with the new connotation and new position of the relationship between the two countries.

For his part, Wan Guoying, Permanent Deputy Chief Justice of the Guangdong Provincial High People's Court, welcomed the delegation of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam to visit and work in Guangdong province.

Regarding bilateral relations, Mr. Wan Guoying emphasized the special significance of the State visit to Vietnam last April, which was also the first foreign trip of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping in 2025. At the same time, the Permanent Deputy Chief Justice of the Guangdong Provincial High People's Court said that judicial cooperation between the two countries is also increasingly closer and more intimate. China and Vietnam have a lot of valuable experience in the judicial field, the two countries can share experiences and exchange cooperation to contribute to promoting the development of the judicial sector in the coming time.

Also within the framework of the visit, the high-ranking delegation of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam visited and surveyed the Nanshan Museum of Law and Culture, the Shenzhen Museum of Reform and Opening-up, the Shenzhen Bankruptcy Court, and the Qianhai Court.
