Vietnam-Poland signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of diplomacy.

Within the framework of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to the Republic of Poland, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang and Polish Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs to strengthen bilateral diplomatic relations.

This is an important event, not only reaffirming the good traditional friendship between the two countries but also marking a new step forward in consolidating and expanding cooperation in the field of diplomacy, especially in the context of the two countries moving towards the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.

Replacing the 2010 memorandum, this agreement aims to expand the scope of cooperation between the Vietnamese and Polish Foreign Ministries over the next five years. Accordingly, the two sides agreed to hold regular political consultations at all levels to discuss bilateral issues such as foreign policy, security, sustainable development, economy, trade, culture, science, education, and international and regional issues of mutual concern.

In addition, the two sides also agreed to conduct policy-making dialogues at least once every two years at all levels, focusing on promoting exchanges between research institutes, experts, and scholars in the fields of geopolitics and strategy, contributing to enhancing mutual understanding and sharing of experiences between the two countries.

According to the content of the Memorandum of Understanding, the two sides pledged to closely coordinate at multilateral forums and international organizations, aiming to build a world of peace , stability and sustainable development, and to support each other in the process of campaigning for candidacy to international mechanisms.

In addition, the two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in the fields of public diplomacy and cultural diplomacy, and coordinate to promote the celebration of important milestones in bilateral relations, thereby contributing to strengthening the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Poland.

The two sides affirmed that in the coming time, they will closely coordinate to effectively implement the agreed contents, while continuing to maintain existing dialogue and cooperation channels, aiming to build an increasingly deeper and stronger Vietnam-Poland relationship./.
