Hung Yen province currently has about 500 hectares of lychee growing, mainly concentrated in Phu Cu and An Thi districts. Of which, Phu Cu district alone has about 400 hectares. This year, the province's lychee output is estimated at nearly 400 tons of fruit.
As of June 12, An Thi district has harvested over 80% of the lychee area. It is expected that by June 15, garden owners will basically finish harvesting.
In Phu Cu district, it is expected that by June 20, localities will also finish this year's lychee egg crop.
In general, the price of lychee at the end of the season decreased by 10 - 15% compared to the beginning of the season. However, grade 1 products are still sought after by customers, with prices at the garden at 120,000 - 150,000 VND/kg.
