U23 Vietnam receives 2 billion VND bonus after winning the championship, sets return date

(Dan Tri) - After winning the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, Vietnam U23 was awarded a total of 2 billion VND by the VFF, through our 4 matches in this year's tournament. Tomorrow (July 30), the whole team will return home.

Specifically, coach Kim Sang Sik's team was awarded one billion VND by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) after the final match at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (Jakarta, Indonesia) last night (July 29).

Previously, VFF awarded the Vietnam U23 team 500 million VND after the team passed the group stage. In addition, after we won the semi-final match against U23 Philippines, VFF awarded the team an additional 500 million VND.

In total, U23 Vietnam was awarded 2 billion VND by VFF for the entire journey at the U23 Southeast Asian tournament this year.

According to information from the Vietnam U23 team, the entire team will leave Indonesia at 1:50 p.m. tomorrow (July 30). Coach Kim Sang Sik's team is expected to arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 5 p.m. the same day.

After that, the U23 Vietnam team continued to connect from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi . This domestic flight is expected to land at Noi Bai airport ( Hanoi ) at 10:00 p.m.

After the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 tournament, the Vietnamese U23 players will return to their home clubs to prepare for the 2025-2026 V-League. This year, the Vietnamese U23 team will have two more important tasks, which are the 2026 Asian U23 qualifiers in early September and the 33rd SEA Games in December.
