TYM - Thai Nguyen Branch: Joining hands to build 'Warm home of love'

Officially operating in Thai Nguyen province since January 2008, Tinh Thuong Microfinance Organization (TYM) - Thai Nguyen Branch has gradually expanded its operations to 6 districts, towns and cities (including: Song Cong City, Thai Nguyen City, Pho Yen City; Phu Binh, Dai Tu and Phu Luong districts). Up to now, TYM has been present in 63 communes, wards and towns with nearly 11,000 customers who are women members participating in loans and savings.

Representative of TYM - Thai Nguyen Branch presented money to support the construction of a Warm House for Ms. Ly Thi Thu.

As a unit under the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), TYM not only provides microfinance products such as loans and savings, but also actively implements community activities with profound humanity. Over the years, TYM - Thai Nguyen Branch has always closely followed the directions and tasks set forth by the Union, especially the goal of "Mobilizing and supporting women to creatively start businesses, develop the economy , and protect the environment". In addition, TYM has always accompanied the VWU at all levels in implementing social security activities, contributing to building a prosperous and happy life for members.

In its journey to support poor women, TYM always pays special attention to members who are in difficult circumstances and lack housing. The “Shelter of Love” program is a highlight in TYM’s charitable activities to support the construction of houses for poor members.

In 2025, TYM - Thai Nguyen Branch selected Ms. Ly Thi Thu's family to support the construction of a house. Ms. Thu was born in 1970, is a poor women's union member in Kim Long hamlet, Binh Son commune (Song Cong city). Her family situation is particularly difficult, she herself has severe kidney failure, has to undergo dialysis 3 times a week; her husband, Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, has impaired vision, lost the ability to work and has no income; her son is a freelance worker with low and unstable income. With poor health, high medical expenses while income is not enough to cover, her family has lived in a makeshift house for many years.

Delegates talked and encouraged Ms. Ly Thi Thu in a warm and affectionate house.

Faced with that situation, TYM - Thai Nguyen Branch coordinated with the Women's Union of Song Cong City to organize a handover ceremony of support money for building a house "Warm House of Love in 2025" for member Ly Thi Thu, worth 60 million VND. From the support fund of TYM and local departments, branches, organizations, relatives, neighbors, a spacious level 4 house with an area of 110m2 was built.

Speaking at the house handover ceremony (June 11, 2025), Ms. Ly Thi Thu emotionally said: “I am truly grateful for the help of TYM - Thai Nguyen Branch, Song Cong City Women's Union, local authorities, mass organizations, neighbors... Thanks to this support, my family has a new, solid and sturdy house, a support for me to feel secure in my treatment and try to overcome difficulties in life."

Speaking at the ceremony, the representative of TYM - Thai Nguyen Branch shared: "In the coming time, we will continue to closely follow the action plan of the Vietnam Women's Union and the locality, promote credit, savings and community activities programs to help poor women have favorable conditions to develop the economy, improve their lives and escape poverty sustainably."

The “Shelter of Love” program is not only a house, but also a symbol of trust and companionship between TYM and poor women members on the journey to overcome difficulties. Through this, TYM affirms its role as a non-profit microfinance organization, always accompanying poor women across the country.
