Bezos and Sánchez, a former journalist and now philanthropist, first went public with their relationship in 2019. Since Bezos and Sánchez began dating, they have largely kept details of their lives private beyond being photographed at events.

In 2022, the couple spoke to CNN at their home in Washington DC for their first joint interview. They talked about their philanthropic work, and strategically giving away Bezos' vast fortune to a variety of causes.
Bezos described the Emmy-winning journalist as “the most generous, kind-hearted person you will ever meet” and said she was “an inspiration.”
The billionaire, who is also the founder of space company Blue Origin, was on the 2021 space flight and return on Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket.
Sánchez, also a former helicopter pilot, told CNN that she also plans to go to space in the coming years, saying that she will be joining “an amazing group of women.”
Bezos was previously married to MacKenzie Scott for 25 years, with whom he has four children. Sánchez has three children from previous relationships and was married to Hollywood powerhouse Patrick Whitesell for 13 years before finalizing their divorce in 2019.
