This morning (January 27), at an altitude of 3,000m or higher at the top of Fansipan, heavy snowfall appeared. This is the first snowfall in the days before Tet.

Since the afternoon of January 26, due to the influence of cold air with temperatures dropping from 2 degrees Celsius to below 0 degrees Celsius, ice and snow have appeared in some areas of Lao Cai, covering the high mountains. At 8:30 this morning, the temperature here had dropped to -3 degrees Celsius.

Snow has covered the top of Fansipan, creating a beautiful scene. Tourists have visited the mountain to admire this scene.

Snow has fallen, covering the wooden floor of the Fansipan symbol and the trees and grass on the mountain top. Currently, the temperature at the top of Fansipan is only about -2 degrees Celsius.

Photographers took advantage of the Tet holiday to hunt for snow photos at Fansipan. The snow and ice scene at Fansipan peak has attracted many visitors. However, the cold weather and snow have also caused some difficulties for visitors.

"We had to prepare very carefully to deal with the cold weather and snow. However, the beautiful scenery at the top of Fansipan made us forget all the difficulties," shared Nguyen Van Bach - a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the media representative of Fansipan Legend, in addition to experiencing the snow and ice on the top of Fansipan, visitors coming here can also admire the mysterious spiritual space in the middle of majestic nature. Majestic works such as the great Amitabha Buddha statue, the curved temple roof in the middle of the sea of clouds, and the La Han road under the shade of ancient rhododendron trees are also special highlights in the journey to conquer the "roof of Indochina".

In addition to Sa Pa, snow and ice also appeared in Y Ty (Bat Xat). However, according to local people, the snow fell sporadically and melted as soon as it touched the ground due to light rain.

It is forecasted that in the coming days, the weather in the North will continue to be immersed in a cold air wave, so it is likely that tourists will experience a Northwestern New Year in impressive snowfall at the "roof of Indochina" and some other high mountainous areas of Lao Cai.
