Vietnam U23 team hopes for overseas Vietnamese striker

Before the final match of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, Vietnamese-American midfielder Viktor Le affirmed that U23 Vietnam is well prepared both professionally and mentally, with the determination to win.

Viktor wore the U23 Vietnam team jersey for the first time to participate in an international tournament, but quickly caught up and integrated with the team thanks to knowing how to improve his Vietnamese.

Evaluating the opponent in the final match, Viktor Le admitted that U23 Indonesia is a difficult team to play against, but the U23 Vietnam team is completely confident of winning the match. What’s important is how we perform in the 90 minutes. Hopefully U23 Vietnam can settle the match in regulation time, and if it has to go into a penalty shootout, there’s nothing to worry about.”

The final match between U23 Vietnam and U23 Indonesia will take place at 8:00 p.m. on July 29 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (Jakarta). This is the third consecutive time U23 Vietnam has participated in the final match of the tournament, after winning the championship twice in 2022 and 2023.
